So apparently I missed a shortcut key combination way back when and when it was shown to me today I was impressed. Seeming it is probably 20 years old I was a little embarrassed. Well here it is:
Pressing "Ctrl + Backspace" deletes entire words so you don’t have to hold down "Backspace." I went years without knowing this. Hopefully this is enlightening for some!
I came across this tip on Reddit and while typing this post used it in:
Windows Live Writer
Firefox
and Word 2003
So chances are it works everywhere. I will never get my lost productivity back but maybe there is still time for you! Did you know about this? Why didn’t you tell me?
Greetings fellow geeks, and techno-freaks! Karl is graciously letting me post another episode of Bauer-Power here at AskTheAdmin.com. If you recall, the last time I posted a Bauer-Power video, it was how to hack Windows passwords using Bauer-Puntu linux. Well, I know you all love to hack, so I thought I would post another hackilicious video for you. This time I show you how to hack wireless access points using a GUI called Grim Wepa in Bauer-Puntu Linux!
In this video I will show you how hacking WEP is now so easy that your Grandma could probably do it. Sure, there are lots of videos showing you how to hack WEP, but not too many show you how to do it using an easy to use GUI in Linux! Not to mention that this GUI will also let you crack WPA! Take a look:
I want to apologize about the audio at the beginning. My mic was turned off, so I had to use the camera’s mic. I fixed it in the second half though. I would have gone back and re-filmed, but I didn’t have the time. Either way, I hope you learned something from it, and if you haven’t yet, perhaps you will try out Bauer-Puntu!
Have you been known to hack wireless? What programs/tools do you use? Do you do it in Windows, Linux or Mac? Does someone you know (Company, neighbor, or relative) still use WEP? Let us know in the comments!
