Skype for Windows Mobile pulled but we still have the link!
So apparently after some partnering up with Verizon, Skype has decided to temporarily pull its Windows Mobile client. Support says if you have it and run it – it will work.
But you will not be able to download it. We found the link on their site is just disabled and you can get to the download page by going to http://www.skype.com/intl/en/download/skype/windowsmobile/ or we have uploaded the file to our server here as well for when it is gone all together!

interestingly binary on your server is giving 404 & getting downloaded from skype.com :)

Here you go, i keep a copy of all my installers on a micro SD card just in case this sort of thing happens. Probably Crapple with the Ipoo paid skype to drop win mobile support.
Have fun

I’m having the same problem where it doesn’t sign in. It’s just stuck on the skype screen with the blue thing rotating forever then it finally says that it can’t find a connection or something even though I’m connected to wifi. I tried installing from exe – desktop and also trying to install it directly from the device from the cab file but, neither is working. I’m on htc hd2 t-mobile. Is it since the phone is locked to t-mobile and needs to be unlocked?

Hi Guys, many thanks for all the comments on Skype not supporting any installation of Skype on Windows Mobile 6.5. I see this is a popular request to those you have already been able to install skype software after Skype’s withdrawall. Please can anyone help those of us who are late and do not know how to install the skype software as it (the installation process) keeps “invalid”. I have tried via ActivSync, etc.. with no success. I use HTC HD2 on T-Mobile network in UK. Many thanks. I owe you one. Gabe

It is working via activesync on my tilt2 (HTC Touch Pro2). Connect your device via activesync and then run the exe file it will install on your device. Thats it!

Installs on HTC Tilt2, WM 6.5, but only option to connect is activesync or wifi — no 3g. And even with that, spins on connecting for longer than I have patience to wait. Any other options?

Scratch that — after timing out on activesync, asked to connect via 3G. I disconnected activesync and it then connected!

Many thanks, Guys – downloaded this for a mate.
Any way of getting Skype on a Sony Ericsson W910i? I’ve got it on my PC & to go mobile would be really handy – esp. as my mate [who was the one who bugged me to get it in the first place] will now have it on his.

Typical of these companies just to go with what happens to be popular at the moment! Obviously this is part of a bigger plan these companies create cartels to promote the most profitable services and products despite their customers or any obligations they may have to the general public.
