My concerns with it is the adoption rates. I mean if 90% of the computer using world would adopt it, including organizations then it is a slam dunk.

But currently, to my knowledge, Wave only interacts with Wave systems. Which is cool. Great for business to business collaboration. However, I want a tool that will allow us to act cool like that, as well as communicate with the email users of the world. So it is going to have to have POP/IMAP/SMTP abilities.

Say we have a Wave system and AskTheAdmin is still using email...how do I get messages there? They naturally WILL solve that problem but I don't think they have done that yet.

I also figure a lot of people will stick to their legacy systems of POP/SMTP, Exchange, Lotus Notes in lieu of being an early adopter.

Then there is the challenge of the fact that this is a whole new way of thinking. This is how we SHOULD be communicating electronically, however there is going to be a MAJOR headache in trying to convince management that this is the way of the future and it is going to be even more challenging to get end users to utilize it the way it is meant to be.

We're still WAY too early in the Wave life cycle, but I am VERY excited about this project.

Thanks for posting this for me Karl.
