Yes this is another post on the Conficker worm. Just because it’s payload hasn’t been felt it doesn’t mean that the worm isn’t lurking around people’s computers. The Conficker worm disables access to a bunch of sites that would enable you to download security updates or patches. We linked to the Conficker Microsoft patches last week. But if you didn’t grab the updates or at least verify that you have them – this post is for you…
Can you see all six icons below?
If you can see all six icons chances are you are not infected.

So are you protected or not? Let’s hear the results in the comments.

Hey, here’s a site with nice video tutorials on Windows XP or Windows Vista: http://www.hackyourwindows.com
Well, I was going to download this and check to make sure but it appears this is not for Windows Vista, Is this correct ? Is Vista not at risk for the Conficker?
I’m confused:(
Vista still needs to be updated. Have you done all the windows updates?
Thanks for this post. I ran the tool at work and there were only a small handful of machines that were vulnerable. Mostly vendor provided machines that are locked down so I can’t update them and the biggest shock was my IT director’s machines.
I hope he let you update his machine :)
