Super! My problem was System Analyzer 7.0 by Iolo. It became corrupt somehow and then I couldn’t uninstall it the usual way. The Iolo site gave long, complicated, registry editing instructions (ugh).

But Revo did the job flawlessly and quickly. I’m knocked out by how good this software is.

Yeah you would have thought they would have at least improved the add/remove programs a little especially after all the acquiring they have been doing…

Revo is the best I’ve found thus far as well. Isn’t kind of mind boggling that Windows doesn’t have these types of features built-in to their Add/Remove programs?

the other app is called PCHelth when I removed it using revo, I found my self I can’t use “msconfig” command… however when I remove it using registry it doesn’t prevent me from using mscofig which means it isn’t critical…. It’s a part of Windows XP and allows you to upload files to the Internet or your Servers. If you use Internet only for normal surfing, mail checking I suppose u can safely remove it.

Revo is clean.

I want you to ask your about Revo Uninstaller which is suggested in your article http://www.asktheadmin.com/2008/08/a-better-add-remove-program-for-free-windows-download.html. I installed it on a clean virtual windows xp then I found three programs installed (revo uninstaller, webfldrs xp and another unkown app). after I removed the two suspicious apps (webfldrs xp and the other) I tried to check if they are still run on start up or not but I couldn’t run msconfig command. I just want to know and correct me
if I am wrong does it contain a virus.

Does this do a more thorough job than the add/remove built into CCleaner + the built-in registry scanner in CCleaner? I really have enough apps on my USB drive and don’t want to download another for no reason.

Revo Uninstaller is possibly my most favorite application, especially since I like to install/uninstall so many other freeware apps.

Revo is extremely good. I liked “uninstall tool” a lot for its speed and simplicity but it went shareware. Revo is a lot like it only on steroids. :)

Absolutely my favourite tool on my thumb drive. I refuse to use the windows add/remove since discovering it! Dont miss in the ‘Tools’ section a great startup item manager too, no need for a separate app.
