		<description>You can do this and more with startup-manager. If in Ubuntu just run:
 $sudo aptitude install startupmanger
You should be able to find the app in System=&gt;Administration=&gt;Start-Up Manager</description>

I was going to try this. I went and found a splash screen, moved it to /bin/lib/usplash and ran the
sudo update-alternatives –install /usr/lib/usplash/usplash-artwork.so usplash-artwork.so /usr/lib/usplash/YOUR_SPLASH.so

command. I made sure and changed YOUR_SPLASH.so to the one I copied. I get this error msg when I ran the command:
update-alternatives: unknown argument `-install&#039;

You have any ideas?</description>
