The cubicle farm can riot at any moment…

Wacko The cubicle farm can riot at any moment...
I saw this on Gizmodo this morning and had to share it with you. I watched this as I looked out my window onto our cubicle farm and wondered…

“Which one of these guys would be the first to crack?”

Then I started thinking back to some of my office pranks like this doosey…Or maybe this gag during a presentation on the big screen. Maybe I shouldn’t contribute to people’s insanity anymore… What do you think?

Mhmm! Had to laugh at the fake naivete' Obviously, you don't seem to have let the PTB totally encase your conscious mind yet, because you "…wondered…".

"…[A]s I looked out my window onto our cubicle farm and wondered…" Those should be your first clues: "…looked out my window…" What is there to wonder about? "Those words tell me that you consider the people working in the cubicles separate, physically and emotionally. I would like to think that deep in your subconcious mind you know that it could be any of them at any time who might crack.

I would imagine the "boss types" are glad to make their conscious mind blind to their exploitation practices. Free the cubicle people!

"onto our cubicle farm"…. It's amazing you were using slave owner terminology. Did you realize that?

It seems to me, that is time to individuate before your unconscious mind swamps your own ego. "Be the change you want to see…" Mahatma Ghandi

Wow, you know not everything that everyone writes has some deeper meaning.

"Slave owner terminology" would have been more along the lines of "as I looked out at our property shuffling around lazily in our cubicle farm, I glanced at the bull whip hanging on my wall and thought briefly that I should probably go whip the one I call Toby before he gets uppity."

Gimme a freakin break. Sometimes what you see is exactly (meaning verbatim) what the writer meant.

I used to work in a cubicle farm, and I often wondered if one of those people was going to snap and start shooting. The guys in my department even had a pool going as to which salesman was going to be the one. Considering almost all of the people in my department either had concealed carry permits, and/or carried rather large pocket knives, it would have been extremely unwise for anyone to go off like the guy in that video.

About the list of “Phrases I’d like to stop using.” I would continue to use “automagical” when talking to most common users. Most of them think it is kind of magical how it all works anyway and to them it explains a lot.

If you are looking for a new word to use, a group of us are efforting to get the word “efforting” in everyday use. Efforting = attemping to do something, ex: I am efforting to get it fixed.

Thanks Joe I couldn't even bring myself to answer him.

I kept typing ARE YOU FLUCKING SERIOUS? and drawing a blank.

There was no hidden agenda just IT terminology.

  7. AskTheAdmin says:

And I am efforting to ban Automagical from users terminology when referring to anything technical.

Like oh my email will automagically goto the correct folder. Sweet.

No dude I have to right rules and shiznit to do that!
