Is There Such a Thing as a Digg Strategy?

digg logo Is There Such a Thing as a Digg Strategy?I have been using Digg.com for quite a while now, and have only recently begun to understand how it is that Digg really works. So many times I have submitted a blog post from Bauer-Power, only to get one or two diggs, then have it fall off into oblivion.

It was only recently that I discovered the true secret to Digg, and it was so simple that I couldn’t believe it.

That secret is simply to participate, and I mean actively participate. Start leaving comments, start voting on the submissions, and submit a lot of stuff yourself (not just your own blog posts).

After that, When you submit stuff, go back to see who dugg your articles and start adding them as friends, and add their friends as friends and so on. Eventually you will have built up quite a large network of diggers. After your network is big enough, when you submit something, you will find that even your mildest of submissions will get 20 or 30 diggs!

Next time you are browsing the diggy goodness, take a look at who is voting. You will start to see the alarming trend that the same people are digging for everyone. Their friends digg their articles and vice versa. If you don’t make friends, you will not make it to the front page. It is that simple.

Try it out, it only takes a day or so to build up your network. Happy Digging!

I used to be an avid digger until the whole ata crew got banned, they restored all the accounts except for mine and permanently banned http://www.asktheadmin.com. We swore by digg and had a 12,000 hit day purely from digg in our yesteryear.

SO we bought http://www.freetechfaq.com and redirected it to our site. after a little dns magic you can now submit ata articles again just change asktheadmin.com to freetechfaq.com.
