You do not want more than one antivirus or antispyware program on your machine because of issues. If you want to use this first uninstall whatever you are currently using.

Thanks for the post. But the only cause of concern is that won’t it interfere with my anti-virus. I’ve heard having more than 1 anti-malware programs installed may cause clashing between them.

sounds like a test for a vm ware session and some porn sites… strictly educational of course… ill do it when i get back to civilization vs. spybot.. unless someone wants to hit it up first… can you belive i have full edge speeds @ 150kbps in the woods. better then @ home lol.

It worked pretty good. It didn’t find any spyware, but then again I keep my box pretty clean. It did find some registry issues that it cleaned up, then defragged my hard drive. It is pretty comprehensive all-in-all.

I would like to see how it does against malware though. I will have to keep testing it out.

how did you like it el di pablo? i never liked ms products b4 – nor really heard any1 recommend one for spyware or virus removal!

I used to like Ad-Aware, but I’m not too keen on their 2007 version.

I have found Windows Defender to be an excellent spyware removal tool. It is also very good at handling BHOs and rogue Active X installs

i beta tested the original s&d and used it for a long time. You wouldn’t catch me without it but, in the last 6 months I have been loving on safety.live.com. I run the full scan – it does the spyware, virus scan, defrag, registry cleaner and lists open ports.

You better believe that I am going to check this out because MS doesnt always catch everything. i currently use barracuda’s scan as my backup.

How is defender these days? anyone else have a favorite we havent mentioned?
