Test drive Zimbras Collaboration Suite in Your Browser Now!

Written by Karl L. Gechlik | AskTheAdmin.com on August 3, 2007 – 10:55 am -

Zimbra a popular open source Email server platform has put together a great comprehensive demo for you to check out. It is their Collaboration Suite Client that you can test drive. You get magically transformed into Dan Demouser and have a fully functional web client running. You can use it to send, receive and forward messages - but they will delete it 10 minutes (Edit: Actually 24 hours thanks Kevin!) or so after you are done. My address for the duration of the demo was lkaywo6pa6z3@demo.zimbra.com so expect something in this format.

But this demo can really open your eyes if you are stuck in the Exchange/Outlook platform. I was really impressed by the demo. It has every feature I could imagine - or that I went looking for. And for me this is a OWA killer. Whatcha guys think?

Here is the link and as always leave us your impressions, opinions or snide remarks in the comments. Don’t be shy Dan DemoUser! http://www.zimbra.com/demo (Thanks Again Kevin!)

    Just remember, as someone once commented about when I first posted about Zimbra and getting away from MS where you can, “if you’re not using MS you wont be taken seriously.”

    {snicker}

    ;-)

    Glad you liked it Karl. It truly is a great product that will only get better.

    Actually you’ll want to goto:

    This will let you create a demo account of your own. Accounts will last for about 24hrs. So plenty of time to test.

    I am loving it. I want to marry it, and have 12 children with it. I want to grow old with it, and be buried with it in a shallow grave just outside of town where that old gas station used to be. You know the one, where they had the soft serve ice cream.

    I love soft serve ice cream. But not as much as Zimbra!
