Gmail Gets Bump to 9GB thats right g.i.g.a. byte…
We thought M$ has jumped the gun with the release of there, “SkyDrive“, online file service yesterday with 500gb of free space but it turned out it was only 500MB. Today after logging into Gmail i see that we have been bumped up. Bumped up to 9GB of space to be exact!
We thought we were bugging at first. Logged out and logged back in a handful of times. Tried a friends account and then Googled it! Looks like everyone is mystified by it! Hey 9GB is a lot better then 500mb! And free vs free? So we have a new favorite place to store our crap on line as a backup. Thanks Google!

Hmmm i didnt think i was special after trying my wifes account and seeing the same space there.
But we did both sign up @ the same time almost INSTANTLY after they went into beta – we had to enter our cell phone number for a confirmation code. Did anyone else have to do that?
Time for a nice email to google support! I’ll be back…

some people are saying it is if you also have a premium account with google like picasa they combine the storage. is that ur situation?
