These are great apps and from a great site called mobile.surrealnetworks.com . Great resource link for your dash wm5 , wm6 or even the HTC.
Some of these applications require that your Smartphone be app unlocked to install properly. Please App Unlock first!
If you can’t modify system files – you need to APP UNLOCK! I can say it again and again. If you are having issues doing almost anything APP UNLOCK. After you upgrade to WM6 you need to APP UNLOCK AGAIN. You will find instructions here @ asktheadmin.com. Here is the list:

Audio Gain Patch 2KB (cab)
Some Dash users complain of the microphone gain causing poor audio and instances of the audio cutting out. The issue seems to limited to some of the first Dash’s to be released. This will correct the gain settings in the registry.

hey guys i found a way to get my fav5 free from our regedit program. my issue is that when i turn it on it automatically turns off. how do i keep it running? to unlock it go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-296078.html let me know if it works for you guys

hey guys and girls.. i wanted to know if there is a program that can turn your DASH into a TV Remote Control. i like to do pranks on people so i thought that would be pretty funny to change their channel and watch them wild out. i’l be searching for a program and if i find one that works i’l post it. til then if you find something quicker then please post and let me know thanks!

for the t-mobile dash. MyFav5. is there a way to activate it permanently with the regedit?
i cant keep it permanently on my dash. this is what i do…

but after doing that im able to add a contact, once added it automatically botts the program out.. need help!

I posted a message regarding using my t-mobile dash for my at&t service, the post before this one, and i am now having trouble with the steps to unlocking the applications on my phone. I went to the mobile.surrealnetworks.com. I had to go to another site to download the PHM Registry Editor for the smart phone. When i tried download the cab file it was in a different format and the PHM Registry Editor didn't recognize my device. I don't know where I took a wrong turn but I feel like it might have been where i went to another site to get the PHM Registry Editor, but when I tried to get it from Mobile.surrealnetworks.com it was in a format that my computer was not picking up on so that is why I looked else where. If you could help me out that would be awesome, thank you

The file format was a .cab – this needs to be copied to your dash and run via file explorer. I hope that fixes you up!

IE and Mail storage to SD on wm6 dash,
Hey all, I recently got a replacement dash, and was loading it up with all the apps i’ve grown dependant on, the biggest one being the ie and mail storage to SD. I’ve app unlocked and loaded the storage app and rebooted several times, yet my mail continues to download to the phone memory vs the storage card. Any ideas as to what Im doing wrong?

before I load my email, 45mb, after I load email, i run out of space before I can get all my attachments. ON my last two dashes, wm5, and a wm6 I loaded this app and it ran flawlessly. I have a 2gb sd card thats going to waste while my puny phone memory fills up.
I’ve tired rebooting, clearing the device, and reloading 4 different times with the same results:my mail attachments still all go to the internal phone memory.
One note when i load the unlock app and the sd card app, my device says the program “may not viewed properly because it was designed for a previous vesion of windows mobile” then I get a message saying installed succesfully.

the message from the unlocker is normal. Try formating the card and trying again. I have seen cards cause this issue before.

NinjaAdmin is correct you can use a tool like this or load up the card on your computer and right click on it in my computer and format from there.
The only time I had the issue you do is when my card was corrupted. The format fixed everything.

so to update (sorry) I downloaded the softare you suggested and tried to format my sd card, it gave me error message: “could not format the Memory Card. Either the drive or the Memory card is not supported by this software.” So thinking my card was just plain kaplooey, I bought a sandisk 2gb sd micro card to replace the old.
Inserted the new card in phone, loaded the sda unlock app, shut down, then loaded surreal ie and sd storage app, rebooted, then finally reloaded my email, and STILL the email will not go the sd card as it did before.
Next I tried to format the new SD card and got the same message as I did with my old sd card. Could it be this phone? I’ve been able to load other surreal apps on it with no problem, but I just cant get the storage to SD to work this time around. (sigh)

I am having problems with my dash telling me that I dont have enough memory to launch some of my programs like Audio Manager, the problem is I have erased most of the programs I had loaded on to it and its still giving me the same message. Its really starting to upset the use of my phone.
