I once had a home consulting gig, and the guy said he was typing away on his PC when BAM everything powered off abruptly. When he tried to turn the thing back on it wouldn't. It turned out his motherboard got fried.<br/><br/>I replaced the board, and got everything running again, then shut it down. The next time I tried powering on again it wouldn't. The new board was fried too. It turns out his power supply was failing. I replaced the board and the power supply, everything was right as rain.<br/><br/>Something to think about...
